RESOLUTION NO.2026-08R A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS SUPPORTING THE APPLICATION TO THE CAPITAL AREA METROPOLITAN PLANNING ORGANIZATION FOR CONSTRUCTION FUNDING FOR THE OLD RANCH ROAD 12 IMPROVEMENTS, CRADDOCK TO HOLLAND PROJECT; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR HER DESIGNEE, TO SUPPORT THE APPLICATION ON BEHALF OF THE CITY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. RECITALS: WHEREAS, the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO) issued a call for projects in October 2025 for communities to apply for funding assistance through the Surface Transportation Block Grant (STBG), Transportation Alternative Set -Aside (TASA), and Carbon Reduction Program (CRP) funding programs; and WHEREAS, the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization funds may be used for the construction of infrastructure; and WHEREAS, the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization funds require a local match equal to twenty percent of the award. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: PART 1. An application to support the construction funding of the Old Ranch Road 12 Improvements, Craddock to Holland project, as described in the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization funding project under CAMPO's 2028-2031 Call for Projects. PART 2. The City of San Marcos is willing and able to enter into an agreement with the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization by resolution or ordinance, should the project be selected for funding. PART 3. The City Manager, or her designee, is authorized to support the application and local match on behalf of the city. PART 4. This resolution will be in full force and effect immediately from and after its passage. ADOPTED on January 20, 2026.
