9. 146. ~ -<0 ~ ~> So =i C") ~ 0-< - œ O'~ . r ::;'r- = &m s:m '..) no s:u:tl 0 ~ ~ ^ c::I tt5 g CJ.) ~ en ORDINANCE NO. 2003 - 60 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS AMENDING THE TRAFFIC REGISTER MAINTAINED UNDER SECTION 82.067 OF THE SAN MARCOS CITY CODE BY INCREASING THE HOURS OF TIME-RESTRICTED PARKING ALONG ALAMO, HARVARD, YALE AND ORCHARD STREETS; INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. RECITALS: 1. The Traffic Register, required by Section 82.067 of the City Code of Ordinances needs to be amended to increase the hours of restricted street parking along Alamo, Harvard, Yale and Orchard Streets in the Alamo neighborhood to prohibit student parking in the residential neighborhoods resulting from night classes in the new Art-Technology-Physics building. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. Pursuant to Section 82.066 of the City of San Marcos Code of Ordinances, the Traffic Register is amended to increase the hours of restricted parking, and attendant signage, to 8:00 A.M. to 8:30 P.M. TOW AWAY for the 1000- 1300 blocks of Alamo Street, 200-300 blocks of Harvard Street, 200-300 blocks of Yale Street and 200-300 blocks of Orchard Street. SECTION 2. If any word, phrase, clause, sentence, or paragraph of this ordinance is held to be unconstitutional or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the other provisions of this ordinance will continue in force ifthey can be given effect without the invalid portion. SECTION 3. All ordinances and resolutions or parts of ordinances or resolutions in conflict with this ordinance are repealed. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in effect ten (10) days from and after its passage, and the City Clerk will publish notice of its adoption in a newspaper of general circulation in the City.
