The Traffic Register, required by Section 82.067 of the City Code of <br />Ordinances needs to be amended to increase the hours of restricted street parking <br />along Alamo, Harvard, Yale and Orchard Streets in the Alamo neighborhood to <br />prohibit student parking in the residential neighborhoods resulting from night classes <br />in the new Art-Technology-Physics building. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. Pursuant to Section 82.066 of the City of San Marcos Code <br />of Ordinances, the Traffic Register is amended to increase the hours of restricted <br />parking, and attendant signage, to 8:00 A.M. to 8:30 P.M. TOW AWAY for the 1000- <br />1300 blocks of Alamo Street, 200-300 blocks of Harvard Street, 200-300 blocks of <br />Yale Street and 200-300 blocks of Orchard Street. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. If any word, phrase, clause, sentence, or paragraph of this <br />ordinance is held to be unconstitutional or invalid by a court of competent <br />jurisdiction, the other provisions of this ordinance will continue in force ifthey can be <br />given effect without the invalid portion. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. All ordinances and resolutions or parts of ordinances or <br />resolutions in conflict with this ordinance are repealed. <br /> <br />SECTION 4. This ordinance shall be in effect ten (10) days from and <br />after its passage, and the City Clerk will publish notice of its adoption in a newspaper <br />of general circulation in the City. <br />
