ADMINISTRATIVE GOALS <br />CERTIFIED LOCAL GOVERNMENT <br />FINDINGS <br />1. San Marcos is compliant with CLG <br />requirements and expectations and remains <br />in good standing. <br />2. San Marcos has an opportunity to become <br />more involved in the Section 106 process <br />for the review of federal projects occurring <br />within the City. <br />3. CI -Gs are charged with coordinating with the <br />Texas Historical Commission (THC) regarding <br />actions affecting any Recorded Texas <br />Historic Landmark (RTHL) or State Antiquities <br />Landmark (SAL). While changes to local <br />landmarks and districts are monitored <br />through the City's COA process, changes <br />to RTHLs, SALs, and National Register <br />properties are not necessarily reviewed at <br />the City level. <br />SOLUTIONS <br />4?1 <br />1. Continue to follow the CLG Program <br />Requirements for Cities in the THC's CLG <br />Handbook. <br />2. Increase collaboration with regional <br />contacts in the environmental compliance <br />department at federal agencies and <br />their partners (such as US Army Corps of <br />Engineers, US Fish and Wildlife Service, <br />Texas Department of Transportation, etc.) to <br />strengthen relationships and ensure Section <br />106 consultation opportunities for the City as <br />a CLG. <br />3.
