13EAQTIFUL, 15NT IT <br />CASE STUDY: <br />BRYAN, TEXAS CULTURAL DISTRICT <br />2014 TCA designated Downtown Bryan as a Texas Cultural District. <br />$3,000 TCA Arts Respond Project grant to support the Downtown Street <br />2015 and Art Fair with over 30 artists. <br />Texas Downtown Award for Best Renovation in Cultural District. <br />2016 $425 TCAArts Respond Project grant to support the Downtown Street <br />and Art Fair that featured artists and artisans from across the region. <br />APA-TX named Downtown Bryan a "Great Place in Texas," recognition <br />given to cities that have utilized planning to create healthier and stronger <br />2018 communities. <br />$2,400 TCA Arts Respond Performance Support grants awarded to <br />subsidize fees for artistic performers. <br />2019 Texas Downtown Award for Best Downtown Business for a Population <br />over 50k award in Cultural District. <br />As part of a study for new development in Bryan, the city assessed tourism <br />statistics for downtown Bryan.
