THE GREAT DEPRESSION BETWEEN THE WARS (1918-1945) <br />U.S. involvement in <br />World War 1 Texas State Parks <br />(1917-1918) Board established. <br />San Marcos Colored <br />School relocated to <br />Martin Luther King Dr <br />and S Endicott St. <br />The Texas State <br />Normal School is <br />renamed the Texas <br />State Normal College, <br />1920 <br />Hays County and San <br />Marcos populations <br />increased to <br />15,920 and 4,527, <br />respectively. <br />Ulysses Cephas, son of <br />individuals enslaved <br />by Burleson began <br />investing in rental <br />property. <br />1923 <br />The Southwest Texas <br />State Normal College <br />is renamed the <br />Southwest Texas State <br />Teachers College. <br />1925 <br />Coronal Institute <br />closed and sold to San <br />Marcos School District. <br />W.M.
