The City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, provided an opportunity for all <br />interested persons to be heard at two public hearings, held on September 2, 2003 and on <br />September 8, 2003, to consider the proposed disannexation by the City of 393 acres, more or <br />less, consisting of the two tracts of land described on the attached Exhibit A and Exhibit B (the <br />"Disannexation Area"), located in the vicinity of the Willow Creek Sections 1, 2, and 3, Laurel <br />Estates, Turkey Hollow and Quarry Springs subdivisions, in Hays County, Texas. <br /> <br />2. A notice of each ofthe public hearings was published in the San Marcos Daily Record, <br />a newspaper having general circulation in the City and in the Disannexation Area, on <br />August 21, 2003 and August 27, 2003. A notice of the public hearings was also posted on the <br />City's Internet web site on August 21,2003, and this notice remained posted on the web site until <br />the dates of the hearings. <br /> <br />3. Notice of all meetings of, and all deliberations of, the City Council involving the <br />disannexation of the Disannexation Area, including the public hearings and the votes on adoption <br />of this ordinance, were done and performed in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Law, <br />TEX. GOy'T CODE ANN. Chapter 551, as amended. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. The recitals of this ordinance are approved and adopted as though fully set <br />forth in this section of this ordinance, and all exhibits attached to this ordinance, as referred to in <br />the recitals, are incorporated herein for all purposes. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. The Disannexatìon Area is disannexed from the City of San Marcos, <br />Texas. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. The corporate limits of the City are revised to exclude the Disannexation <br /> <br />Area. <br /> <br />SECTION 4.
