<br />227. <br /> <br />AMENDMENT NO.1 TO <br />ECONOMUC DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT <br /> <br />This is Amendment No.1 to the Economic Development Agreement between the City of San <br />Marcos, Texas, a Texas municipal corporation (the "City"), the Greater San Marcos Economic <br /> <br />Development Council (the "EDC") and the San Marcos Area Chamber of Commerce (the <br /> <br />"Chamber"). <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br />1. The City Council, on September 22,2003, approved an agreement (the "Agreement") <br />with the EDC and the Chamber for fiscal year 2003-2004 for professional services to promote <br />orderly and responsible economic development for the San Marcos geographic area. <br />2. The City, the EDC and the Chamber wish to amend the Contract to revise the composition <br />of the Economic Development Council Board to add a member of the San Marcos Consolidated <br /> <br />Independent School District Board of Trustees as a non-voting, ex-officio representative of the San <br />Marcos Consolidated Independent School District. <br /> <br />AMENDMENT: <br /> <br />1. Section 2.A of the Agreement is amended as follows (underlined text is added): <br />A. The EDC Board of Directors (the "EDC Board") shall govern the EDC and provide <br />oversight for the EDC and Chamber's performance under this Agreement.
