<br />RESOLUTION NO. 2003- <br /> <br />R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING A GRANT <br />APPLICATION TO THE TEXAS PARKS AND WILDLIFE <br />DEPARTMENT FOR THE ACQUISITJ.QN OF AN 11.36 ACRE, <br />MORE OR LESS, TRACT OF PROPERTY IN THE <br />PROPOSED BLANCO SHOALS DEVELOPMENT; <br />AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE <br />APPLICATION AND RELATED DOCUMENTS ON BEHALF <br />OF THE CITY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br />1. On January 27,2003, the City Council approved an amended earnest money <br />contract with members of the Holt family for the City's acquisition of an 11.36 acre tract of <br />property (the "Property") in the proposed Blanco Shoals POD developme.-rÜ. <br /> <br />2. The City is required under this earnest money contract to submit a grant <br />application to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department for state funding for the City's <br />acquisition of the Property, and the City Council wishes to approve the attached grant <br />application to facilitate compliance with this requirement. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />PART 1. The City's submission of the attached grant application to the Texas Parks <br />and Wildlife Department for state funding for the City's acquisition of the Property is <br />approved. <br /> <br />PART 2. The City Manager, Dan O'Leary, is authorized to execute the grant <br />application and related documents on behalf of the City. <br /> <br />PART 3. This Resolution is in full force and effect immediately from and after its <br />adoption. <br /> <br />ADOPTED on <br /> <br />~.~.~ <br /> <br />Robert B.
