Source of Sponsor Financing The City of San Marcos requests a TPWD/CO-OP grant in the amount of $25,000 to subsidize summer camps, day trips, and outdoor learning activities for at-risk youth in San Marcos. There will be no cost to project participants to ensure universal accessibility. The Nature Center is under the auspices of the City of San Marcos' Parks and Recreation Department, which will finance $17,823 in project personnel costs from budgeted funds and which will sustain the project after the TPWD grant period ends. Volunteer support valued at $20,250 has also been committed to the project. Partnership letters from TPWD, the San Marcos Greenbelt Alliance, and Youth Services Bureau are attached.
