• <br />RESOLUTION 2010-20R <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS FINDING MISCELLANEOUS FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />EQUIPMENT, MATTRESSES AND DISASTER RELIEF SUPPLIES <br />UTILIZED BY THE SAN MARCOS FIRE DEPARTMENT TO BE <br />SURPLUS AND OF NO VALUE TO THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS; <br />AUTHORIZING THE FIRE DEPARTMENT TO DONATE THESE ITEMS <br />TO THE CITY OF MONCLOVA, MEXICO AND DECLARING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />RECITALS: <br />1. The San Marcos Fire Department has stored heavily used and outdated <br />miscellaneous fire equipment, mattresses and disaster relief supplies for several years. <br />2. The City has determined that these items are surplus and of no value to the City of <br />San Marcos and the City wishes to donate them to the City of Moncolva, Mexico. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />is TEXAS: <br />PART 1. The City Council finds and determines that heavily used and outdated <br />miscellaneous fire equipment, mattresses and disaster relief supplies stored by the San Marcos <br />Fire Department for several years are surplus and of no value to the City of San Marcos. <br />PART 2. The Fire Department is authorized to donate these items to the City of <br />Monclova, Mexico. <br />PART 3. The City Manager, Rick Menchaca, is authorized to execute any necessary <br />documents facilitating the transfer of any of these surplus items. <br />PART 4. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately from and after its <br />passage. <br />ADOPTED this the 19th day of January, 2010. <br />Sus4Narvaiz <br />Mayor <br />is
