("Consultant") for the provision of engineering <br />servIces. <br /> <br />A. GOALS AND ACTIVITIES <br /> <br />Consultant agrees to use your best efforts to accomplish the following goals, through the <br />following activities, on behalf of the City: <br /> <br />GOAL 1: To provide engineering design and construction management assistance <br />on the Main Lift Station Rehabilitation C.I.P. project through preparation of <br />contract documents and review of construction activities/submitals. <br /> <br />ACTIVITIES: <br /> <br />1.1 <br /> <br />Prepare plans and specifications for the project. <br /> <br />1.2 <br /> <br />Coordinate with City engineering and operations staff and contractors to insure <br />that the project plans and specifications reflect a project that is cost effective to <br />construct and provides for optimum operation. <br /> <br />1.3 <br /> <br />Attend pre-bid and pre-construction conferences, reVIew bids and contractor <br />references. <br /> <br />1.4 <br /> <br />Schedule and attend meetings with the City and contractor, reVIew project <br />submittals, prepare written comments and reports. <br /> <br />GOAL 2: To evaluate operations of City lift stations and prepare recommendations <br />for operational improvements including replacement and upgrading of equipment <br />and facilities. <br /> <br />ACTIVITIES: <br /> <br />2.1 <br /> <br />Review existing "As-Builts"drawings and O&M Manuals where available. <br /> <br />City Hall. 630 East Hopkins.
