Box 907 <br />Sa n Ma rcos, Tx. 78666 <br /> <br />Dear Ms. Langenkamp: <br /> <br />The Friends of the Library are very happy to support your efforts to <br />obtain a Library Services and Construction Act, Title I, grant from <br />the federal government. <br /> <br />We understand that this grant will enable you to develop and improve <br />library services for adults with less than a twelfth grade education. <br />It is imperative that the library establish innovative programs to <br />reach this target group because this group is not adequately served <br />through traditional library programming. This means that nearly 20% <br />of our city's population is at a disadvantage with regard to library <br />services. <br /> <br />Should you be successful in obtaining the LSCA grant, we would like <br />to support your endeavors by providing $600 in funding which can <br />be used for grant-related operational expenses. We believe that this <br />will be a good investment in the future of our community. <br /> <br />We wish you the best of luck in your pursuit of this grant!
