<br />Section 12.02. Approval of Official Statement. <br /> <br />The form and substance of the Preliminary Official Statement, dated March <br />15, 1987, and any addenda, supplement or amendment thereto (the "Official <br />Statement") presented to and considered at this meeting, is hereby in all respects <br />approved and adopted by the City Council, and the Mayor and the City Secretary are <br />hereby authorized and directed to execute the same and deliver appropriate numbers <br />of executed copies thereof to the purchasers of the Bonds. Said Official Statement <br />as thus approved, executed and delivered, with such appropriate variations as shall <br />be approved by the City Manager and the purchasers of the Bonds, may be used by <br />said purchasers in the public offering and sale thereof. The City Secretary is hereby <br />authorized and directed to inc1ude and maintain a copy of the Official Statement <br />and any addenda, supplement or amendment thereto thus approved among the <br />permanent records of this meeting. <br /> <br />ARTICLE XIII <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF ESCROW AGREEMENT <br />AND TRANSFER OF FUNDS; REDEMPTION OF <br />CERTAIN OUTSTANDING BONDS <br /> <br />Section 13.01. Approval of Escrow Agreement. <br /> <br />The Escrow Agreement and its execution and delivery by the Mayor and City <br />Secretary are hereby authorized and approved. <br /> <br />Section 13.02. Transfer of Funds. <br /> <br />The City Manager is authorized to execute such subscriptions for the <br />purchase of United States Treasury Securities, State and Local Government Series, <br />as may be necessary for the Escrow Fund. <br /> <br />Section 13.03. Redemption of Certain Outstanding Bonds. <br /> <br />(a) The City hereby caBs for redemption, prior to maturity, the foHowing <br />general certificates of obligation of the City: <br /> <br />City of San Marcos, Texas, Combination Tax and Revenue <br />Certificates of Obligation, Series 1984, dated January 1, 1984, <br />scheduled to mature on January 1 in the years 1995 through <br />2003, both inc1usive, aggregating $1,045,000 (the "Series 1984 <br />Refunded Obligations"); and <br /> <br />City of San Marcos, Texas, Combination Tax and Revenue <br />Certificates of Obligation, Series 1984-A, dated April 1, 1984, <br />scheduled to mature on May 1 in the years 1995 through 2004, <br />both inc1usive, and aggregating $4,250,000 in principal amount <br />(the "Series 1984-A Refunded Obligations"); and <br /> <br />1659f <br /> <br />-29- <br />
