<br />5. <br /> <br />Project Implementation Schedule <br /> <br />Table 2 is the Project Implementation Schedule for all contracts of any <br />applicant selected for funding under the Emergency Shelter Grants <br />Program. In completing this Table, the locality should consider MAY 8, <br />1987 as the start-up date. In addition, according to Section 575.37(2), <br />keep in mind that all funds must be obligated within 180 days (NOVEMBER 4, <br />1987) after receipt of funds from the State. <br /> <br />OBLIGATED means that the locality has placed orders, awarded contracts, <br />received services or entered similar transactions that require payment <br />from the grant amount. For example, a locality has obligated funds when <br />it has awarded a grant to a private nonprofit organization to provide <br />assistance to the homeless. <br /> <br />The locality must show start and completion dates for each activity. It <br />is recommended that for complex projects, the locality review the <br />compliance requirements (Section 575.59) before providing this <br />information. In addition, the locality must consider any potential <br />difficulties, such as zoning conflicts or building permits. If the <br />activity is dependent on other funding, this must be described. Identify <br />all major milestones to be undertaken with the project. <br /> <br />9 <br />
