<br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
<br />MARCOS, TEXAS, ~1ENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE PLAN (MAP)
<br />OF THE MASTER PLAN OF SAID CITY, TO ADD LOW DENSITY
<br />RESIDENTIAL, MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL, HIGH DENSITY
<br />RESI DENTIAL, F LOATI NG OFFI CE PROFESSIONAL, FLOATING
<br />NEIGHBORHOOD COMMERCIAL, COMMERCIAL, INDUSTRIAL,
<br />PUBLIC, AND PERMANENT OPEN SPACE/FLOODPLAIN LAND USES
<br />FOR 935. ACRES OF LAND A PORTION OF SAID PROPERTY
<br />BEING WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF SAN
<br />MARCOS AND A PORTION OF SAID PROPERTY BEING WITHIN SAID
<br />CITY'S TWO (2) MILE EXTRATERRITORIAL JURISDICTION AND
<br />LOCATED SOUTH OF CENTERPOINT ROAD AND EXTENDING
<br />WESTWARD FROM THE EAST SIDE OF IH 35 TO INCLUDE BOTH
<br />SIDES OF IH 35 AND BOTH SIDES OF HUNTER ROAD; AND
<br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, on October 21, 1986, the Joint Planning and Zoning
<br />Commissions of the City of San Marcos held a public hearing regarding a
<br />request to amend the Future Land Use Plan (Map) of the Master Plan to
<br />add Low Density Residential, Medium Density Residential, High Density
<br />Residential, Floating Office Professional, Floating Neighborhood
<br />Commercial, Commercial, Industrial, Public and Permanent Open
<br />Space/Floodplain landuses for approximately 935. acres of land located
<br />south of Centerpoint Road and extending westward from the east side of
<br />IH 35 to include both sides of IH 35 and both sides of Hunter Road;
<br />and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, subsequent to said public hearing on said date, said
<br />Commissions did, on October 21,1986 consider said request and voted to
<br />approve the same and have recommended that such request be approved by
<br />the City Council of said City; and,
<br />

<br />WHEREAS, said City Council held a public hearing on the
<br />April, 1987, regarding such request; and,
<br />

<br />amendments have been ~et; and,

<br />WHEREAS, said City Council finds and determines that the adoption
<br />of the following Ordinance is in the interest of the public health,
<br />morals, welfare and safety; now, therefore,
<br />
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY

<br />SECTION 1. That the land uses for those tracts shown on Exhibit
<br />1, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein for all purposes,
<br />as approximately 935. acres of low density residential, medium density
<br />residential, high density residential, floating office professional,
<br />floating neighborhood commercial, commercial, industrial, public and
<br />permanent open space/floodplain, a portion of said property being
<br />within the corporate limits of the City of San Marcos and another
<br />portion of said property being within said City's two (2) mile
<br />extraterritorial jurisdiction and located south of Centerpoint Road and
<br />extending westward from the east side of IH 35 to include both sides of
<br />IH 35 and both sides of Hunter Road in Hays County, Texas be added to
<br />the Future Master Plan (Map) of the Master Plan of the City of San
<br />~1arcos .

<br />SECTION 2. That this Ordinance shall be in effect ten (10) days
<br />from and after its passage, and it shall be published in a newspaper of
<br />general circulation in the area as required by the Charter of the City
<br />of San Marcos, Texas.
