<br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
<br />OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS AMENDING THAT ORDINANCE
<br />ADOPTED SEPTEMBER 8, 1986 WHICH SET FORTH AN
<br />ITEMIZED ESTIMATE OF THE EXPENSE OF CONDUCTING
<br />EACH ADMINISTRATIVE UNIT OF THE MUNICIPAL
<br />GOVERNMENT OF SAID CITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR
<br />BEGINNING OC'rOBER 1, 1986 AND ENDING ON
<br />SEPTEMBER 30, 1987, AND APPROPRIATED MONEY FOR
<br />THE VARIOUS FUNDS AND PURPOSES OF SUCH
<br />ESTIMATE, TO REVISE SAID ESTIMATES AND TO
<br />REAPPROPRINfE SAID FUNDS, ADOPTING SAID
<br />REVISIONS AND ESTIMATES, AND DECLARING AN
<br />EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, after publication of notice on August 10, 1986, the
<br />Ci ty Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, held a publ ic
<br />hearing on August 25, 1986, on the budget proposed by the City
<br />Manager for said City for the fiscal year beginning October 1,
<br />1986; and,
<br />
<br />HHEREAS, at said public hearing all interested persons were
<br />given an opportunity to be heard for or against any item or the
<br />amount of any item therein contained; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, a public hearing to consider proposed amended uses
<br />of Revenue Sharing funds was held on August 25, 1986; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, after said public hearing, the City Council of the
<br />Ci ty of San Marcos, Texas, adopted the budget for said City for
<br />the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1986 and ending on September
<br />30, 1987, on September 8, 1986; and,
<br />
<br />VlHEREAS, said budget set forth itemized estimates of the
<br />expense of conducting the San Marcos municipal government for said
<br />fiscal year and appropriated money for the various funds and
<br />purposes of such estimate; and,
<br />
<br />HHEREAS, in accordance with Section 8.16 of the City Charter
<br />of the City of San Marcos, Texas, said City Council declares that
<br />a public necessity exists which requires amendment of said budget;
<br />nm,v, therefore,

<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS,
<br />TEXAS:
<br />
<br />SECTION 1. That that Ordinance adopted September 8, 1986,
<br />which set forth an itemized estimate of the expense of conducting
<br />each administrative unit of the municipal government of said City
<br />for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1986 and ending on
<br />September 30, 1987, and appropriated money for the various funds
<br />and purposes of such estimate, be, and the same is hereby amended
<br />as set forth in Exhibits A through D which are attached hereto and
<br />incorporated herein, in words and figures as shown therein, for
<br />all intents and purposes.

<br />SECTION 2. That the said revisions and reappropriations
<br />which shall be the amended budget for the City of San Marcos,
<br />Texas, for the fiscal year 1986-87 beginning October 1, 1986 and
<br />ending on September 30, 1987, be, and the same are hereby,
<br />approved and adopted.
