<br /> <br />,.£< <br /> <br /> <br />78 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE 1987-81 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 9-2(D), EXAMINING AND <br />SUPERVISING BOARD OF ELECTRICIANS, OF CHAPTER 9 OF THE <br />CODE OF ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY TO INCREASE THE AMOUNT <br />OF THE BOND FOR LICENSING OF MASTER ELECTRICAL <br />CONTRACTORS FROM ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($l,OOO.OO) TO <br />FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($5,000.00) TO GUARANTEE <br />LICENSEES' FULL COMPLIANCE WITH THE ORDINANCE OF THE <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, REGULATING INSTALLATION AND <br />REPAIR OF ELECTRICAL WIRING AND APPARATUS~ AND DECLARING <br />AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />BE <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />IT <br /> <br />ORDAINED <br /> <br />BY <br /> <br />THE <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> <br />SECTION 1. That Section 9-2(d) of Chapter 9 of the Code of <br />Ordinances of the City of San Marcos, Texas, is hereby amended to read <br />as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 9-2. Examining and Supervising Board of Electricians. <br /> <br />(d) It shall be the duty of the Board to pass upon all persons <br />engaged in the electrical business as master electricians, <br />journeyman electricians and maintenance electricians. Whenever <br />a person shall successfully pass the examination prescribed by <br />the Board, said Board shall issue a license to such person so <br />passing the examination and shall record the issuance of such <br />license in a book to be kept by said Board for such purpose. <br />No license shall be issued to a master electrician until he shall <br />have first given good and sufficient bond in the sum of Five <br />Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) to guarantee licensee's full and <br />faithful compliance with the ordinance of the City of San Marcos, <br />Texas, regulating installation and repair of electrical wiring <br />and apparatus. <br /> <br />SECTION 2.
