<br />"Attachment C" <br /> <br />WIC PROJECT #36 STAFF DUTIES <br /> <br />The following is a brief summary of the various staff position duties <br />as they are now and will be in Comal County. However, the R.D./Director <br />position which is currently part-time (35 hours per week approximately) <br />will more than likely ch~nge to full-time in 1988. <br /> <br />Registered Dietitian/Director - Oversees the operation of the W.I.C. <br />Project #36; coordinates the program between various government jurisdic- <br />tions; develops and manages the budget; publicizes the program; certifies <br />participants into the program; manages all staff and their functions. <br /> <br />Nutritionist and L.V.N. - Provides health and nutritional screening, <br />counseling and education classes to participants; certifies participants <br />into the program; directly supervises Nutrition/Clinic Aides and Clerks. <br /> <br />Nutrition/Clinic Aides - Provides health and nutritional screening for <br />participants by obtaining necessary clinical and administrative data; <br />teaches nutrition education classes; maintains administrative and health <br />records on all participants. <br /> <br />Clerks - Provides initial information and screening for WIC applicatns; <br />maintåins all records and forms; issues food vouchers, ID cards and <br />appointments. <br /> <br />Clerk-Typist - Provides initial information and screening on WIC applicants; <br />maintains all records and forms; issues food vouchers, ID cards and appoint- <br />ments in absence of clerk; types and mails all correspondence and related <br />information. <br />
