<br />WOMEN, <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT <br />BETWEEN <br />INFANTS, AND CHILDREN (WIC) PROJECT #36 <br />AND THE <br />COMAL COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT <br /> <br />I. PURPOSE: <br />The purpose of this agreement is to provide for a cooperative <br />system of client referrals between the Women, Infants and Children <br />(W.I.C.) Program and the Comal County Health Department. <br /> <br />II. <br /> <br />SCOPE: <br />Both parties acknowledge that the majority of the people served <br />by each program comes from the same tarket group, the low socio- <br />ecomomic population. Both parties agree that a cooperative re- <br />ferral agreement will enhance the services provided by each program. <br /> <br />III. METHODOLOGY: <br />W.I.C. Project #36 will refer all women, infant and children program <br />participants to the Corna1 County Helath Department for primary <br />health care whenever necessary. The Health Department will also <br />have access to any medical-related information that W.I.C. has on <br />these referrals. Said referrals will receive all consideration and <br />services that other participants of the Health Department receive. <br /> <br />It is further agreed that the Carnal County Health Department will <br />allow the W.I.C. Project #36 to operate within their facilities as <br />long as space and scheduling permit. W.I.C. will also receive re- <br />ferrals made by the Health Department, and said referrals will re- <br />ceive all consideration and services that other participants of the <br />W.I.C.
