Program. Several <br />counties in our Region currently provide services through <br />the W.I.C. Program, and our staff have found the Program to <br />be beneficial to needy families. Proper nutrition and nutri- <br />tion counselling is a long term goal of our Department. Our <br />effort is to educate the community regarding proper health <br />and the implication of poor nutrition, specially in pregnant <br />women and small children. A W.I.C. Program in Comal County <br />will be one way of advancing that goal. <br /> <br />Our staff in the Income Assistance Services and Child Protective <br />Services Programs particularly could refer potential clients, <br />should the Program be authorized by the County.
