<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 106.2 OF THE STANDARD <br />BUILDING CODE BY AMENDING SECTION 5-26 OF DIVISION 2, <br />AMENDMENTS, OF ARTICLE II OF CHAPTER 5, BUILDINGS AND <br />BUILDING REGULATIONS, OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF SAID <br />CITY TO REFORM LANGUAGE THEREIN REGARDING BONDS, AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />103 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE 1987- 87 <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />COUNCI L OF <br /> <br />THE <br /> <br />CITY OF <br /> <br />SAN <br /> <br />MARCOS, <br /> <br />SECTION 1. That Section 106.2 of the Standard Building Code is <br />hereby amended by amending Section 5-26 of Division 2, Amendments, of <br />Article II of Chapter 5, Buildings and Building Regulations, of the <br />Code of Ordinances of said City to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 5-26. <br /> <br />Section 106.2. <br /> <br />Section 106.2 of said code is amended so that it will now read <br />as follows: <br /> <br />It shall be the duty of every contractor or builder to pay <br />an annual license fee of seventy-five dollars ($75.00) except <br />as provided in section 5-18 of the Code of Ordinances, City of <br />San Marcos, Texas, and to register his name in a book provided <br />for that purpose with the building official, giving full <br />name, residence and place of business, and, in case of removal <br />of the business from one place to another to make a <br />corresponding change in said register, and no license shall be <br />issued to such contractor or builder until such person has <br />given good and sufficient bond in the sum of five thousand <br />dollars ($5,000.00), to guarantee such person's full compliance <br />with the building regulations, the regulations of this <br />section, and other ordinances of the city in reference to <br />buildings. All bonds and licenses shall expire the <br />thirty-first day of December of the year issued. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. That this Ordinance shall be in effect ten (10) days <br />from and after its passage, and it shall be published in a newspaper of <br />general circulation in the area as required by the Charter of the City <br />of San Marcos, Texas. <br /> <br />PASSED AND APPROVED on first reading <br /> <br />May 27, 1987. <br /> <br />PASSED AND APPROVED on second reading <br /> <br />June 8, 1987. <br /> <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED <br /> <br />June ~. 19. 87, <br /> <br />~.~/"" <br />, . .
