RESOLUTION NO.2026-105R <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS AUTHORIZING A REQUEST FOR <br /> REIMBURSEMENT FROM THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF <br /> TRANSPORTATION FOR UP TO $130,000.00 FOR THE SAN MARCOS <br /> REGIONAL AIRPORT CONTROL TOWER IMPROVEMENTS; <br /> AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR HER DESIGNEE, TO <br /> EXECUTE ALL CONTRACTS AND AGREEMENTS NECESSARY TO <br /> OBTAIN SUCH REIMBURSEMENT AND TO EXECUTE A <br /> DESIGNATION OF SPONSOR'S AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE ON <br /> BEHALF OF THE CITY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos intends to make certain improvements to the San <br /> Marcos Regional Airport; and <br /> WHEREAS, the general descriptions of the projects are described as: Airport Control <br /> Tower Improvements; and <br /> WHEREAS,the City of San Marcos intends to request financial assistance from the Texas <br /> Department of Transportation for these improvements; and <br /> WHEREAS,the total cost of the Airport Control Tower Improvements is estimated not to <br /> exceed $130,000.00; and <br /> WHEREAS, the federal share of the costs are not to exceed $130,000.00 which is the <br /> amount for which the City Council of the City of San Marcos now desires to seek reimbursement <br /> for the Above Ground Fuel Storage Facility Fuel Project; <br /> NOW THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF SAN MARCOS,TEXAS: <br /> PART 1. A request for reimbursement from the Texas Department of Transportation <br /> (TXDOT) for the Airport Control Tower Improvements for the San Marcos Regional Airport in <br /> the estimated amount of$130,000.00 is hereby authorized. <br /> PART 2. The City of San Marcos authorizes the City Manager, or her designee,to <br /> execute all contracts and agreements with TXDOT as necessary to seek the reimbursement from <br /> TXDOT and to execute the attached Designation of Sponsor's Authorized Representative <br /> designating Shaun Condor,P.E.—Director of Engineering as the City of San Marcos authorized <br /> representative for the project who has the authority to make approvals and disapprovals as <br /> required for the project on behalf of the City of San Marcos. <br /> PART 3. City staff is authorized to amend this resolution as necessary to conform to <br /> the formatting or other requirements required by TXDOT provided the amendment does not <br /> change the project,the funding amount or the amount of any City matching funds. <br />
