<br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
<br />MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE PLAN (MAP)
<br />OF THE MASTER PLAN OF SAID CITY, OF PART OF LOT 6,
<br />BLOCK 3, OF LINDSAY AND HARVEY ADDITION, AN ADDITION IN
<br />HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS ACCORDING TO THE MAP OR PLAT THEREOF
<br />RECORDED IN VOLUME E, PAGE 416, OF THE DEED RECORDS OF
<br />HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS A/K/A 516 W. HOPKINS STREET FROM
<br />HIGH DENSITY RESIDENTIAL TO OFFICE AND PROFESSONAL; AND
<br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, on April 21, 1987, the Joint Planning and Zoning
<br />Commissions of the City of San Marcos held a public hearing regarding
<br />a request to amend the Future Land Use Plan (Map) of the Master Plan
<br />from High Density Residential to Office and Professional of part of Lot
<br />6, Block 3, Lindsay and Harvey Addition, Hays County, Texas; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, subsequent to said public hearing on said date, said
<br />Commissions did, on April 21,1987, consider said request and
<br />voted to approve the same and have recommended that such
<br />request be approved by the City Council of said City; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said City Council held a public hearing on the
<br />of July, 1987, regarding such request; and,
<br />

<br />amendments have been met; and,

<br />WHEREAS, said City Council hereby finds and determines that the
<br />adoption of the following resolution is in the interest of the public
<br />health, morals, welfare and safety; now, therefore,
<br />
<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
<br />
<br />SAN
<br />
<br />MARCOS,
<br />
<br />TEXAS:
<br />
<br />PART 1. That the following described tract of real property
<br />a/k/a 516 W. Hopkins Street, San Marcos, Hays County, Texas, which is
<br />in an area shown on the Future Land Use Plan (Map) of the Master Plan
<br />of the City of San Marcos as High Density Residential shall be shown
<br />on said map as Office and Professional:
<br />
<br />Part of Lot 6, Block 3, of Lindsay and Harvey Addition, an
<br />addition in Hays County, Texas according to the Map or Plat
<br />thereof recorded in Volume E, Page 416, of the Deed Records of
<br />Hays County, Texas, being more particularly described by metes
<br />and bounds as follows:
<br />
<br />BEGINNING at the East corner of said Lot No. Six (6) in the
<br />Northwest line of Hopkins Street, same being South corner of Lot
<br />No. Seven (7) in said Block No. Three (3);
<br />
<br />THENCE N. 44 degrees 8' W. 84.27 feet to the Southeast edge of a
<br />stone wall running across said Lot No. Six (6), same being the
<br />East corner of the Buford Williams lot;
<br />
<br />THENCE S. 45 degrees 48' W. along the Southeast edge of said
<br />stone wall, 83.3 feet to an iron stake set in the line between
<br />Lots Nos. Five (5) and Six (6) in said Block No. Three (3),
<br />
<br />THENCE S. 44 degrees 48' E. 85.37 feet to the South corner of
<br />said Lot No. Six (6) in said Northwest line of Hopkins Street;
<br />
<br />THENCE with said street line N. 45 degrees E. 83.33 feet, To The
<br />Place of Beginning, being the same property described in deed
<br />dated May 1,1941, from the Presbyterian Church of the United
<br />States to the First American Lutheran Church of San Marcos,
<br />recorded in Volume 122, Page 135, Hays County Deed Records.
<br />
<br />PART 2. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect
<br />from and after its passage.
