to be competitively bid without written consent of the City and the Engineer and with notice to the <br />Contractor. <br /> <br />1.5 ADDITIONAL SERVICES <br /> <br />1.5.1 Since the Engineer's compensation is a fixed fee for Basic Services, including minor <br />deviations from those described in this Agreement, compensation to the Consultant for additional <br />services will only be for substantial deviations from the scope of services described in Sections 1.1 <br />through 1.4 above. The Engineer will submit a written estimate of fees to the City and obtain the <br />City's authorization before initiating any additional services. <br /> <br />1.5.3 The following items of service are specifically not included in the Basic Services and are <br />considered additional services: <br /> <br />b) <br /> <br />c) <br />d) <br /> <br />f) <br />g) <br />h) <br />i) <br /> <br />Preparation of applications and supporting documents for governmental or other <br />entities for financial support of the Project in addition to those required under Basic <br />Services; preparation or review of environmental studies and related services; and <br />assistance in obtaining environmental approvals other than those required under <br />Basic Services. <br />Services resulting from significant changes in the general scope, extent or character <br />of the Project or for major changes in the documentation previously accepted by <br />Owner where changes are due to caused beyond the Engineer's control. <br />Provision of renderings or models. <br />Consideration of operations, maintenance and overhead expenses; value engineering <br />and preparation of rate schedules, earnings and expense statements, cash flow and <br />economic evaluations, feasibility studies, appraisals and valuations. <br />Furnishing the services of independent professional associates or consultants for <br />other than Basic Services. <br />Inspection services in addition to those provided under Section 1.4.10. <br />Services requiring out of town travel other than visits to the site. <br />Preparation of operating and maintenance manuals. <br />Preparation for service or serving as a consultant or witness in any litigation, <br />arbitration, or other legal or administrative proceeding. <br /> <br />1.5.2 Each material change (deletion or addition) in the services to be provided by Engineer must <br />be authorized by the City on the Authorization of Change in Services form attached to this <br />Agreement as Attachment A. Compensation for additional services will be in addition to that <br />specified for Basic Services in accordance with Section 14.3 of this Agreement. The approval of the <br />City's governing body is necessary for all additional services the compensation for which exceeds <br />$25,000. <br /> <br />7 <br /> <br /> <br />
