RESOLUTION NO. 2026-129R A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS APPROVING THE AWARD OF A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT TO HARPER BROTHERS CONSTRUCTION, LLC, FOR THE AIRPORT TAXILANE PROJECT,FOR THE REHABILITATION OF APRON PAVEMENT AND ASSOCIATED TAXILANE IMPROVEMENTS IN THE ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF $2,192,315.00; CONTINGENT UPON THE CONTRACTOR'S TIMELY SUBMISSION OF SUFFICIENT BONDS AND INSURANCE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CITY'S CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT DOCUMENTS FOR THE PROJECT AND CONCURRENCE IN THE AWARD OF THE PROJECT FROM THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR HER DESIGNEE,TO EXECUTE THE CONTRACT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: PART 1. A construction contract is hereby awarded to Harper Brothers Construction, LLC, for the Airport Taxilane Project, for the rehabilitation of apron pavement and associated taxilane improvements in the estimated amount of$2,192,315.00 is approved contingent upon the contractor's timely submission of sufficient bonds and insurance in accordance with the City's construction contract documents for the Project and concurrence in the award of the Project from the Texas Department of Transportation;. PART 2. The City Manager, or her designee, is authorized to execute the contract on behalf of the city. PART 3.
