<br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
<br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS AMENDING THAT
<br />ORDINANCE ADOPTED SEPTEMBER 8, 1986 WHICH
<br />SET FORTH AN ITEMIZED ESTIMATE OF THE
<br />EXPENSE OF CONDUCTING EACH ADMINISTRATIVE
<br />UNIT OF THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT OF SAID
<br />CITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING
<br />OCTOBER 1, 1986 AND ENDING ON SEPTEMBER
<br />30, 1987, AND APPROPRIATED MONEY FOR THE
<br />VARIOUS FUNDS AND PURPOSES OF SUCH
<br />ESTIMATE, TO REVISE SAID ESTIMATES AND TO
<br />REAPPROPRIATE SAID FUNDS, ADOPTING SAID
<br />REVISIONS AND ESTIMATES, AND DECLARING AN
<br />EMERGENCY.
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, after publication of notice on August 10, 1986,
<br />the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, held a
<br />public hearing on August 25, 1986, on the budget proposed by
<br />the City Manager for said City for the fiscal year beginning
<br />October 1, 1986; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, at said publ ic hearing all interested persons
<br />were given an opportunity to be heard for or against any item
<br />or the amount of any item therein contained; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, a public hearing to consider proposed amended
<br />uses of Revenue Sharing funds was held on August 25, 1986;
<br />and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, after said public hearing, the City Council of
<br />the City of San Marcos, Texas, adopted the budget for said
<br />City for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1986 and ending
<br />on September 30, 1987, on September 8, 1986; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said budget set forth itemized estimates of the
<br />expense of conducting the San Marcos municipal government for
<br />said fiscal year and appropriated money for the various funds
<br />and purposes of such estimate; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, in accordance with Sec tion 8 .16 of the Ci t. Y
<br />Charter of the City of San Marcos, Texas, said City Council
<br />declares that a public necessity exists which requires
<br />amendment of said budget; now, therefore,
<br />
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
<br />MARCOS, TEXAS:

<br />SECTION 1. That that Ordinance adopted September 8,
<br />1986, which set forth an itemized estimate of the expense of
<br />conducting each administrative unit of the municipal
<br />government of said City for the fiscal year beginning October
<br />1, 1986 and ending on September 30, 1987, and appropriated
<br />money for the various funds and purposes of such estimate,
<br />be, and the same is hereby amended as set forth in Exhibits
<br />A, B, C, D and E which are attached hereto and incorporated
<br />herein, in words and figures as shown therein, for all
<br />intents and purposes.
<br />
<br />SECTION 2. That the said revisions and reappropriations
<br />which shall be the amended budget for the City of San Marcos,
<br />Texas, for the fiscal year 1986-87 beginning October 1, 1986
<br />and ending on September 30, 1987, be, and the same are
<br />hereby, approved and adopted.
