<br />Letter Agreement <br />with Melissa Mi11ecam <br />Dated October 1, 1987 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />1.8 <br /> <br />GOAL II: <br /> <br />2.1 <br /> <br />2.2 <br /> <br />2.3 <br /> <br />2.4 <br /> <br />2.5 <br /> <br />2.6 <br /> <br />2.7 <br /> <br />2.8 <br /> <br />Provide public information services to <br />the San Marcos Electric utility. <br /> <br />To assist the City in accomplishing its <br />programs by generating public support and <br />understanding. <br /> <br />Establish publicity program for city <br />boards and commissions to promote <br />understanding of their activities and to <br />acknowledge the volunteer service of <br />citizens. <br /> <br />Produce brochures to explain such <br />programs as bond issues and annual city <br />budget. <br /> <br />Provide media representatives with <br />information about specific issues. <br /> <br />Assist in coordinating legislative and <br />intergovernmental contacts and assists in <br />research on local bills affecting San <br />Marcos. <br /> <br />Assists in research for grants for social <br />service agencies, public presentations. <br /> <br />Serves as public information officer for <br />Emergency Management Program. <br /> <br />Arranges ceremonial functions, tours, or <br />special events. <br /> <br />Promotes special programs for community <br />improvement (e.g., Main Street, Farmer's <br />Market, water conservation, special clean <br />up programs, etc.) <br /> <br />GOAL III: To improve staff morale. <br /> <br />3.1 <br /> <br />3.2 <br /> <br />Publicize promotions, honors and special <br />activities of the staff. <br /> <br />Work with City Council and staff to <br />establish public recognition program for <br />city staff or members of City boards and <br />commissions. <br />
