58 RESOLUTION 1987-'125R A RR~OLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, ENDORSING THE NARCOTICS TRAFFICKING TASK FORCE PROGRAM, RATIFYING THE EXECUTION BY THE CITY MANAGER OF AN APPLICATION FOR ASSISTANCE FROM THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE DIVISION OF THE GOVERNOR'S OFFICE FOR SUCH PROGRAM, AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE OF $1,250.00 AND THE EXECUTION OF ANY OTHER DOCUMENTS OR INSTRUMENTS NECESSARY TO THE IMPLEMENTATION OF SUCH PROGRAM, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos, Texas, wishes to endorse the Narcotics Trafficking Task Force Program, the purpose of said program being the strengthening of law enforcement efforts to combat the growing problem of drug abuse; and, WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos, Texas, wishes to apply to the Criminal Justice Division of the Governor's Office for funding for said program; and, WHEREAS, the City is willing to participate in the funding for said Narcotics Trafficking Task Force Program in the total amount of $1,250.00; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY TEXAS: COUNCI L OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, PART 1. Tha t hereby endorsed. the Narcotics Trafficking Task Force Program is PART 2. That the execution by the City Manager of an application to the Criminal Justice Division of the Governor's Office for funding for said program, a copy of said application being attached hereto and incorporated herein for all purposes, is hereby approved and ratified. PART 3. That the expenditure of' $1,250.00 is hereby authorized if said application is approved by the said Criminal Justice Division. PART 4. That the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute any other documents or instruments necessary to fully implement this program. PART 5.
