<br />5-502.09 <br /> <br />The method of disposal and the disposal site <br />for all unused material, dirt, debris and <br />loose concrete. <br /> <br />Sec. 5-600 Plans to be reviewed by various city departments <br />the State Department of Highways and Public Transportation. <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />The City Engineer may request written comments on each permit or <br />driveway approach application from the various affected <br />departments of the City, including the Public Works Department and <br />Planning Department, and from the public utilities, franchise <br />holders and, as applicable, the Texas Department of Highways and <br />Public Transportation, and shall allow a period of ten (10) <br />working days for the receipt of all such comments or objections <br />from every request recipient. When the City Engineer receives an <br />objection based upon a demonstrable conflict with an ordinance or <br />regulation of the City of San Marcos or with a state or federal <br />statute or with a recognized standard of engineering practice, <br />he/she may refuse to approve the permit, provided that written <br />notice of disapproval is sent to the permit applicant stating <br />clearly the grounds for disapproval. <br /> <br />Sec. 5-700 Site layout and construction standards; sidewalks, <br />driveway approaches, curbs, gutters, pavements and appurtenances. <br /> <br />Sidewalks, driveway approaches, curbs, gutters, pavements and <br />appurtenances on public property and other facilities to provide <br />access to abutting property shall be constructed, provided, <br />altered, or repaired in accordance with "City of Austin Standard <br />Specifications" and as prescribed by the following standards: <br /> <br />5-701.00 <br /> <br />Type I driveway approaches. Type I driveway approaches <br />shall comply with the following standards: <br /> <br />5-701.01 <br /> <br />5-701.02 <br /> <br />5-701.03 <br /> <br />5-701.04 <br /> <br />Width of driveway approach. Width <br />driveway approaches shall conform to <br />dimensions as required by Table I. <br /> <br />of <br />the <br /> <br />Radius. Driveway approaches shall be <br />constructed with either winged side slopes or <br />with return curbs having a rolled face <br />disappearing at the sidewalks and joining the <br />street curb with a radius to conform to the <br />dimensions as required by Table I. Winged <br />side slopes shall be used in any case in <br />which a curb return may present an <br />architectural barrier within a pedestrian <br />path. <br /> <br />Sidewalk to be removed. Where a driveway <br />approach is designed to cross an existing <br />sidewalk, the sidewalk included in the <br />driveway approach area shall be removed and <br />reconstructed as a driveway approach unless <br />the City Engineer has determined that the <br />section of sidewalk fully complies with the <br />requirements of this section for driveway <br />approaches. <br /> <br />Curb and gutter to be removed. Where a <br />driveway approach is to be constructed at a <br />location where curb and gutter is in place, <br />said curb and gutter shall be removed to the <br />nearest existing construction joint, or a new <br />construction joint formed by such other <br />methods as may be approved by the City <br />Engineer. The driveway approach shall be <br />constructed monolithically with the new curb <br />and gutter section and shall extend back to <br />the property line. <br /> <br />-9- <br />
