The 04 project was to reconst~uct the
prima~ Runway 12/30 and no work on 17/35 was requested or contemplated in
that project. The inclusion o£ a seal coat as an alternate in plans does
not alter our project and I presume that was done in anticipation o£ a TAG
grant which did not materialize.

Based on our visit o£ October 20, we recommend that you initiate actions
to remove vegetation and seal the sur£ace of Runway 17/35. We believe
that the next major runway work should be on Runway 8/26 your secondary
runway; and we understand that you are working on a preapplication for
this work.

We regret that we cannot assist in the work on Runway 17/35, but your only
two eligible runways will be the prima~ and instrument Runway 12/30 and
your secondary and longest Runway 8/26.

Sincerely,

L~>//f ~:Ç.
George D. c~rif"e'y
Manager, Safety and Standard Branch

~M~_~-

- A StMItMnI fOI' the WOl'fd -
