34 STATE OF TEXAS CONTRACT FOR ELECTION SERVICES COUNTY OF HAYS KNOW ALL PERSONS BY THESE PRESENTS: This agreement is entered into by and between Hays County Election Administrator, hereinafter referred to as "Administrator", the City of San ~1arcos , hereinafter re ferred to as "City" and the Edwards Underg round Water District, hereinafter referred to as "EUWD" pursuant to Sec. 31.092~ Texas Election Code (Vernon's 1986). ~<I]I TNESSETH WHEREAS, the Edwards Underg round ~iI]a te r District by appropriate action of its governing body acting in accordance with applicable laws, has called an election to be held on January 16,1988; and, WHEREAS, the City and EUWD have requested that certain services for the January 16, 1988 Special Election be provided by the Hays County Election Administrator's Office; and, ~^JH E R EAS , the City and EUV\1D have secured from Joyce Cowan, Elections Administrator for Hays County,Texas, an estimate of the cost for the services to be provided by the Elections Administrator's Office; and, WHEREAS, it is in the public interest that the Elections Administrator, provide certain services to the EUWD for its election; and, WHEREAS, the City and EUWD desire to enter into an Agreement with the Elections Administrator for such services;
