• ORDINANCE NO. 2010-8 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE <br />FUTURE LAND USE MAP FROM "LDR" LOW DENSITY <br />RESIDENTIAL TO "MU" MIXED USE FOR A 0.14 ACRE, MORE OR <br />LESS, TRACT OF LAND LOCATED AT 202 ROOSEVELT STREET; <br />AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY <br />REZONING THIS TRACT FROM "SF-4.5" SINGLE-FAMILY <br />DISTRICT TO "MU" MIXED USE DISTRICT; AND INCLUDING <br />PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS <br />RECITALS: <br />1. On January 26, 2010, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of San Marcos <br />held a public hearing regarding a request to change the Future Land Use Map of the San Marcos <br />Horizons City Master Plan from "LDR" Low Density Residential to "MU" Mixed Use, and a <br />concurrent request to change the zoning from "SF-4.5" Single-Family' District to "MU" Mixed <br />Use District, for a 0.14 acre, more or less, tract of land located at 202 Roosevelt Street. <br />2. Subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />considered and voted to approve the requests on January 26, 2010, and recommended that the <br />• requests be approved by the City Council of the City. <br />3. The City Council held a public hearing on February 16, 2010 regarding the requests. <br />4. All requirements of Chapter 1, Development Procedures, of the City Land <br />Development Code pertaining to Future Land Use Map Amendments and Zoning Map <br />amendments have been met. <br />5. The City Council hereby finds and determines that the adoption of the following <br />ordinance is in the interest of the public health, morals, welfare and safety. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />SECTION 1.
