The TCU can be programmed to
monitor and control telemetry equipment; or, il can be used as a pump control dc-v/ce. As a pump control device, thc TCU
contains all the hardware and software needed ~o control - based on level inputs from pressure tnmsducers ox other analog level
sensors, or float ball switches - up to three motor starters. When used as a programmable device, tho TCU can control up to'six
output devices and monitor up to 12 digital input devices and two analog input devices. This dual function~llty hcll~s reduce
overhead. One unit can be used in either a pump control or other process control application, or can replace an exisllng PCU
(Pump Control Unit).

Thc TCU features dual double-speed microcontrollers. One micro handles controlling functions; thc other manages communica-
tion. Thc unit's AC plmse monitor uses Truc RMS to produce accurate and exact voltage readings. Thc TCU contains two 12-bit
analog inputs, which provide superior accuracy mad rcsolutio~ Thc ALIX input has been enhanced to function as a standard
digital input or as a pulse counter for applications such as a rain gauge or flow meter. ~Ma RS-485 full-duplex serial interface
enables the TCU to communicate v~Sth industry-standard devsccs and VFD rnotox controllers. In addition, the TCU includes an
RS-232 Modbus radio interface as an interface to industry standard radios. For ease of input, the TCU features a large, 4x20-
character LCD display and a 12-key keypad. Eight LED lights arc programmable to allow enstomi?ation.

Box Dimensions
Analog Input
Digital Input Voltages

Input Pwteclion
Digital Input Impedance

Po, Consumption
SuI Voltage
Mnown~ Operating
£cmpcrature Rangc
Surge Tested

5.75" X 8.75"'X 5.50'
4-20mA~250ohm/I-5V ~100Kohm
10 - 30 volts AC/DC
30 - 300 volts AC/DC with voltage reducer~
M.O.¥., Transorb, and Opto-isolated
6K ohms
100mA
20 Watts
115VAC (230VAC factory opt.)
-10°C (14crF) Io 60°C (140°F).
