I I I 9 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, FEBRUARY 19, 1979 Present: Mayor Robert L. Cavazos Council Members Ted Breihan John A. Hansen Bob Hyatt Berry R. James Kenneth E. Sutton City Manager City Secretary City Attorney Director of Finance Director of Public Works Director of Public Safety Director of Community Services Royal Dunlap Doriss Hambrick Barbara Jean Edwards Earl T. Williams Ray Kotowski Robert Minnie Albert Sierra Also Present: Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Pryatel, Jeff Watkins, Jerri Martin, Gilbert Tenorio, Terry Roberts, Charles Evans, Gordon Thompson, Austin Curlee, Margie Ventimiglia, Ofelia Vasquez, Jorge Cruz-Aedo, Catherine'Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Rocky Prado, George Vandervort, George Dimmick, Jim Pendergast, Herman Caviel, Pete Rodriguez, Corliss Dees, Chris Bishop, David Munger, Gary Bond, Gordon Hyatt, Robert Beechinor, Don Laine, and others. The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. The minutes of the regular meeting held Monday, February 12, 1979 were approved on motion of Mr. Hansen and second of Mr. Hyatt. The Mayor read a resolution having the following caption: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, CREATING A FINANCIAL ADVISORY BOARD; AND ESTABLISH- ING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mr. Sutton moved the resolution be adopted. Mr. Hyatt seconded the motion which passed unanimously. Mr. James moved to appoint Mrs. Lydia Feltner to serve on the Building Code Board of Appeals. Mr. Sutton seconded the motion which passed unanimously. The City Secretary was instructed to contact incumbents on the Building Code Board whose terms had expired to see if they wished to serve another term. The Mayor read an ordinance having the following caption: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS ANNEXING TO SAID CITY A CONTIGUOUS TRACT OF LAND CONTAINING .1377 ACRE LOCATED WITHIN THE EXTRA- TERRITORIAL JURISDICTION OF SAID CITY AND LYING ADJACENT TO PRESENT CITY BOUNDARIES; AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mr. James moved the ordinance be approved on first reading. Mr. Hansen seconded the motion which passed unanimously. The Mayor read an ordinance having the following caption: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS ANNEXING TO SAID CITY A CONTIGUOUS TRACT OF LAND CONTAINING 18.30 ACRES LOCATED WITHIN THE EXTRA- TERRITORIAL JURISDICTION OF SAID CITY AND LYING ADJACENT TO PRESENT CITY BOUNDARIES; AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
