<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />49 I <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1979 - 12 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING <br />CHAPTER 29 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, <br />ENTITLED "TRAFFIC" BY ADDING TO SECTION <br />29-122, ENTITLED "STOP SIGNS," OF <br />ARTICLE V, ENTITLED "TRAFFIC CONTROL <br />DEVICES" OF SAID CHAPTER, TWO LOCATIONS <br />FOR STOP SIGNS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />Section 1. That Section 29-122, entitled "Stop Signs," of <br />Article V, entitled "Traffic Control Services," of Chapter 29 <br />of the City Code of Ordinances be, and is hereby, amended by <br />adding the following locations to the list of locations for <br />authorized stop signs, to-wit: <br /> <br />Intersection <br /> <br />Direction of <br />Approach <br /> <br />East-West North <br /> <br />Loop 82 and west access <br />road to Interstate Highway <br />35 <br />Loop 82 and East access <br />road to Interstate Highway <br />35. <br /> <br />West <br /> <br />Section 2. That the importance of this Ordinance and the <br />necessity of authorizing stop signs which are currently in <br />place create an emergency and an imperative purpose necessary <br />that the provisions of the Charter requiring all ordinances be <br />read at three separate meetings and that no ordinance shall <br />become effective until the expiration of ten (IO) days follow- <br />ing the date of its final passage be suspended, and this <br />provision is hereby suspended, and this Ordinance shall take <br />effect and be in full force and effect from and after its <br />adoption and publication in a newspaper of general circulation <br />within the City. <br /> <br />APPROVED AND ADOPTED this <br /> <br />J;;;~ <br /> <br /> <br />Doriss Hambrick <br />City Secretary <br /> <br />the 19th day of March <br /> <br />'~~~ <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />, 1979. <br /> <br />APPROVED: <br /> <br />~~is~ <br /> <br />City Attorney <br /> <br />published in the San Marcos Record March 25, 1979. <br />
