I I I 49 I ORDINANCE NO. 1979 - 12 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 29 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, ENTITLED "TRAFFIC" BY ADDING TO SECTION 29-122, ENTITLED "STOP SIGNS," OF ARTICLE V, ENTITLED "TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES" OF SAID CHAPTER, TWO LOCATIONS FOR STOP SIGNS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: Section 1. That Section 29-122, entitled "Stop Signs," of Article V, entitled "Traffic Control Services," of Chapter 29 of the City Code of Ordinances be, and is hereby, amended by adding the following locations to the list of locations for authorized stop signs, to-wit: Intersection Direction of Approach East-West North Loop 82 and west access road to Interstate Highway 35 Loop 82 and East access road to Interstate Highway 35. West Section 2. That the importance of this Ordinance and the necessity of authorizing stop signs which are currently in place create an emergency and an imperative purpose necessary that the provisions of the Charter requiring all ordinances be read at three separate meetings and that no ordinance shall become effective until the expiration of ten (IO) days follow- ing the date of its final passage be suspended, and this provision is hereby suspended, and this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from and after its adoption and publication in a newspaper of general circulation within the City.
