Mr. Royal Dunlap, City Manager, <br />reported four bids had been received. He stated City Staff <br />recommended the lowest bid submitted from Triple A Roofing <br />in Austin for the amount of $10,626.00. Mr. James moved to <br />accept the bid from Triple A Roofing of Austin for the amount <br />of $10,626 for repair of the library roof. Mr. Sutton <br />seconded the motion which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Pro Tern Hyatt read the caption of a resolution as <br />follows: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING A <br />CONSTRUCTION AGREEMENT WITH MISSOURI- <br />KANSAS-TEXAS-RAILROAD COMPANY FOR <br />INSTALLATION OF A WATER LINE UNDER <br />RAILROAD TRACKS TO CONNECT WITH A WATER <br />LINE IN REDWOOD ROAD; AUTHORIZING THE <br />MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT; AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mr. Dunlap explained the Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad <br />Company had prepared a pipeline license agreement authorizing <br />the City to bore and install a water line under their portion <br />of the railroad tracks. Mr. Sutton moved to adopt the <br />resolution. Mr. Hansen seconded the motion. On roll call, <br />the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Hansen, Hyatt, James, Sutton <br />NAY: None <br />ABSTAIN: Breihan. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mayor Pro Tern Hyatt read an ordinance amending the General <br />Zoning Ordinance by changing the definition of a "trailer <br />house" in its entirety having the following caption: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING <br />SECTION 4 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGU- <br />LATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE <br />OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED <br />MAY 23, 1966 (GENERAL ZONING ORDINANCE) <br />BY DELETING THE DEFINITION OF "TRAILER <br />HOUSE" AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />City Attorney Barbara Edwards reported to the Council that <br />the more recent definition of a "mobile home" conflicted <br />with the original definition of a "trailer house" and that <br />the trailer house definition also alludes to use of such a <br />structure as a single family dwelling in a manner which <br />contradicts the mobile home land use provisions. Mr. James seconded <br />the motion which passed unanimously. <br />
