124 regular meeting, december 4, 1978 page two Mayor Cavazos read the caption of a resolution as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, FURTHER EXTENDING THE SUSPENSION OF THE OPERATION OF PROPOSED NATURAL GAS UTILITY RATE SCHEDULES FILED BY ENTEX, INC., FOR AN ADDITIONAL PERIOD OF THIRTY (30) DAYS BEYOND THE ORIGINAL SUSPENSION OF ONE HUNDRED TWENTY (120) DAYS BEYOND AUGUST 18, 1978, THE DATE ON WHICH SAID SCHEDULES WOULD HAVE OTHERWISE GONE INTO EFFECT. I Mr. Alvin Langhamer and Mr. Harry Overstreet were present to represent Entex, Inc. Mr. Overstreet, questioned by Mr. Sutton, informed the Council that Entex did not intend to exercise their option of putting new rates into effect under bond, but would wait for Council action before instituting the new rates. Mr. Arredondo moved the resolution be adopted. Mr. James seconded the motion which passed unanimously. The Mayor Pro Tern read an ordinance in its entirety having the following caption: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMEND- ING CHAPTER 29 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, ENTITLED "TRAFFIC", BY DELETING FOUR LOCATIONS FROM SECTION 29-122, ENTITLED "STOP SIGNS", OF ARTICLE V, ENTITLED "TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES", OF SAID CHAPTER; BY ADDING TO SECTION 29-122, ENTITLED "STOP SIGNS", OF THE AFORESAID ARTICLE AND CHAPTER, NINE LOCATIONS FOR STOP SIGNS; BY ADDING TO SECTION 29-121, ENTITLED "YIELD SIGNS", OF THE AFORESAID ARTICLE AND CHAPTER, FOUR LOCATIONS FOR YIELD SIGNS; BY ADDING TO SECTION 29-123, ENTITLED "NO PARKING ANYTIME", OF THE AFORESAID ARTICLE AND CHAPTER, THREE LOCATIONS TO BE DESIGNATED NO PARKING ANYTIME ZONES, BY DELETING ONE LOCATION FROM SECTION 29-123, ENTITLED "NO PARKING ANYTIME" OF THE AFORESAID ARTICLE AND CHAPTER; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. I Mr. Breihan stated, regarding Section 2, the Intersection Post Road and Aquarena Springs Road the direction of approach should be South instead of North. He also requested that Section 4 include a provision allowing only parallel parking on Blanco Street during those hours when parking is allowed. Mr. Sierra suggested that the parallel parking could be handled administratively. Mr. James moved the ordinance be adopted on emergency with the correction made to Section 2. Mr. Hansen seconded the motion which passed unanimously. AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, ADOPTING FOR PROSECUTION PURPOSES ONLY THOSE REGULA- TIONS APPROVED BY ORDER OF THE BOARD OF REGENTS PERTAINING TO TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES AND WHICH DEFINE MOVING TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS ON THE CAMPUS OF SOUTHWEST TEXAS STATE UNIVERSITY; ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
