(512) 419 -1432 <br />Bid and reference review for Texas Sterling Construction Company. <br />Required documentation included with bid proposal: <br />• Acknowledgements <br />o All three required were made, Addendums, Bid Bond, and SBQ (See Appendix B) <br />• Statement of Bidder's Qualifications <br />• Included and reviewed. Information appears to be accurate and complete, and no serious issues were <br />detected. <br />• Reviewed financial statement. Contractor's financial abilities appear to be adequate for the project. <br />Note that between the time of review, start of construction and completion of construction financial <br />elements may change. Based on the contractor being able to procure bonding for the project, this <br />confirms that the contractor is financially capable of beginning the work. <br />• Contacted sampling of references (See Appendix C), Both owners and engineers representing projects <br />appear to recommend the contractors ability to construct quality projects. All contacted, that <br />responded, would recommend them to work on additional. <br />• Bid <br />• Bid included in the format supplied by the City and Engineer. Bid was reviewed, summarized and <br />compared to the competing bids. (See Appendix D) <br />• Bid was not mathematically or materially unbalanced. Mathematically unbalanced bids contain bid <br />prices that do not reflect reasonable actual costs plus reasonable share of the bidder's anticipated profit, <br />overhead and other indirect costs.
