119 regQLar meeting, october 18, 1976 page two The Mayor read a Resolution having the following caption: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF THE COMPLETION OF T-HANGARS CONSTRUCTED AT THE SAN MARCOS MUNICIPAL AIRPORT; AND AUTHORIZING FINAL PAYMENT FOR THIS STRUCTURE. Mr. Cavazos moved the Resolution be adopted. Mr. Hansen seconded the motion. Questioned by Mr. Hansen, Mr. Allyn Gill of the Airport Commission stated that the problems with the structure had been corrected satisfactorily. On roll call, the motion to approve the Resolution was unanimously approved. I The Mayor introduced for consideration the requirement for parallel parking along a portion of L.B.J. Drive as a condition for receiving federal grant money under the Federal Aid to Urban Transportation Systems Act and the consideration of alternate methods for funding the improvements to that portion of L.B.J. Drive. Mr. Cavazos moved the City fund the improvements to that portion of L.B.J. Drive from Comal Street to University Drive under the Community Development program. Mr. Hansen seconded the motion. Mr. Breihan requested the State be requested to add drainage improvements to the project. The Council also discussed the possibility of funding improvements from Comal to Hutchison street instead of going all the way to University Drive, but the motion was not amended. On roll call, the motion was approved by the following vote: AYE: Cavazos, Craddock, Hansen, James, Sutton / ' NAY: Arredondo, Breihan.
