Leddick, Director PARD Girl Scout House March 30, 1977 RE: At the March 24th meeting of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board it was recommended by the Board to the City Council that the Girl Scouts continue to use the Girl Scout House, provided it is scheduled through the Parks and Recreation Department who in turn set pOlicies for such use. . The policies set are the same as those we have used in the past to be as follows. This was agreed to by the Girl Scout Representatives. The City allows the Girl Scouts to use this facility, to be scheduled through the Parks and Recreation Department, with the following services being provided by the Girl Scouts as Policies of the Parks and Recreation Department: l. Insure the property for loss or damage by fire, explosion wind storms or other casualties comprehended under what is commonly known as "Extended coverage" hazard ,insurance. 2. Provide pu~lic liability insurance with $50,000 and $100,00 limits. 3. To indemnify and forever hold the City harmless for each and every claim demanded or cause of action arising out of the.activities of the Girl Scouts, their invitees, guests employees or agents. 4. Show proof of insurance. 5. To keep the interior of said house in the same state of repair as it was received. I 6. Not to sublease the property. 7. Allow the City of San Marcos to enter the property for reasonable purposes. 8. Make no alterations or additions to the property. 9. At the sole expense of the Girl Scouts to maintain at their expense the interior and exterior of the structure.
