I The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. The Minutes of the Regular and Special Meetings held June 20, 1977 were approved on motion of Mr. James and second of Mr. Hansen. Dr. Craddock moved to confirm the Mayor's appointment of Dr. Robert D. Gratz to an unexpired term on the Urban Renewal Commission to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Dr. Bill Franklin. Mr. Breihan seconded the motion which passed unanimouSfY. The Mayor opened a Public Hearing to consider a request for a change in the zoning of Lot l, Block I of the J.H. Combs Addition from R-l to P-I. Mr. Arredondo noted that the change was arbitrarily initiated by the Planning arrd Zoning Commission who agreed with the owners, the Apostolic Assembly, that it was improperly zoned. No objections were received to the change in zoning. The Mayor closed the hearing and read an ordinance having the following caption: AN ORDINANCE OF TIffi CITY COUNCIL OF TIffi CITY OF SAN ML\RCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 3 OF TIJAT ORDINANCE WHIG! REGULATES AND RESTRICTS TIffi LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED MAY 23, 1966 (VOL. 32) BY CHANGING TIffi ZONING OF wr l, BLOCK I OF TIlE J.H. COMBS ADDITION, LOCATED AT l25 BISHOP STREET, FRCM "R-I" (SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) TO "P-]''' (PUBLIC). I Dr. Craddock moved the ordinance be approved on first reading. Mr. Cavazos seconded the motion which passed unanimously. The Mayor opened a Public Hearing to consider a request for a change in the zoning of a tract of land in the T.J. Chambers Addition from "P-2" to "D". The change was arbitrarily initiated by the Planning and Zoning CommissioIl who agreed with the owner, James Fife that it was improperly zoned on the general zoning map. Mr. Fife was represented by Harry Bishop. No objections wen~ presente to the change in zoning. OiAMBERS ADDITION, 318 VISTA STREET, FROM "P-2" (PUBLIC) TO "D" (MULTIFAMILY). Mr. Cavazos moved that the ordinance be approved on first reading.
