57 special meeting october 2, 1979 page two The Mayor introduced for consideration procedures for nominating persons to serve on the Board of Directors for the Tax Appraisal District of Hays County. Mr. Tenorio informed the Council that one meeting of elected officials had been held on September 28 and those present had discussed the procedures required for setting up the Board of Directors. Mr. Tenorio recommended the Council consider nominating only one person since the Council did not have enough votes to assure election of more than one person. Mr. Cavazos moved the Council submit only one nominee to serve on the County Tax Appraisal Board. Mr. Hansen seconded the motion which passed unanimously. Mr. Hyatt moved to submit the name of Mr. Robert Stevenson as the Council's nominee for the Tax Appraisal Board. Mr. Breihan seconded the motion which passed unanimously. A resolution formally submittirigthe name to the County Clerk will be presented for Council consideration at the regular meeting to be held October 8. I At 4:45 the meeting was recessed to executive session on motion of Mr. Hyatt and second of Mr. Cavazos. The meeting reconvened in special session at 6:00 p.m. on motion of Mr. Cavazos and second of Mr. James. The Mayor announced that the Council had discussed the appointment of Municipal Court Judge and Alternate Municipal Court Judge. Mr. Breihan moved to reappoint Mr. Marcos Hernandez as Judge of the Municipal Court. Mr. Cavazos seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: AYE: Tenorio, Breihan, Cavazos, Hyatt, Hansen Sutton NAY: James Mr. Hyatt moved to reappoint Mr. Ron Champion as Alternate Municipal Court Judge. Mr. Breihan seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
