CC :.1J Chairman Yarbrough called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Roll was called, and a quorum was declared present. Acknowledge- ment was made of the posting of the "Notice of Meeting" on September 6, 1979. ~I Chairman Yarbrough presented the minutes of the previous meeting for consideration. At the previous meeting, the minutes presented for consideration were returned due to the number of errors. Looking at the minutes of the meeting held July 10, 1979, Mr. Yarbrough pointed out again the great number of mistakes. Mrs. Parks moved that the minutes be approved with the corrections mentioned by Mr, Yarbrough. Mr. Cruz provided the second, and the motion passed unanimously. Chairman Yarbrough declared these minutes of the July meeting approved and adopted as corrected. Mrs. Parks moved the minutes of the August meeting be approved. Mr. Cruz provided the second, and the motion passed unanimously. Under Old Business, bids for land sales were considered. The bids were received on part of disposition Parcel 10-1, located on Cheatham Street, in the same block with Smith's Flowers. Mr. Dannelley described the property and its location. Mrs. Judy Gratz was also present to answer questions relating to the property and her plans for same. Her bid was 70q per square foot for the piece of property which was approximately 29,085 square feet, for a total bid of $20,359.50. A check was enclosed for $500.00. The appraisal on the overall piece of property was 90q per square foot without consideration for the back area of the property. A bid of 70q for the back half was a good bid the Commissioners felt, but a bid of 70~ for the front half was a poor bid they felt. Mrs. Parks moved the bid of $20,359.50 be accepted. Mr. Cruz provided the second, and the motion passed unanimously. Chairman Yarbrough directed Mr. Dannelley to place this land bid on the upcoming City Council agenda. Bids were submi tted on Parcel LH- 6 as follows: ~I ~ . $500. 1. Howard Tidwell $4,005.00 Cashier's Check - 2. Ralph Gonzales $3,600.00 Cashier's Check - $200. 3. Joe Schneider $3,108.00 Personal Check - $156. 4. Ysridro Reyes $3,300.00 No check Parcel LH-6 was a residential lot which is being sold for the City of San Marcos.
