Swain <br /> <br />Albert Sierra, Community <br />Services Director <br /> <br />OTHERS PRESENT; <br /> <br />Mr. & Mrs. Joe Kohut <br /> <br />Chairman Yarbrough called the meeting to order at 7:00 <br />p.m. <br /> <br />Acknowledgement was made of the posting of the "Notice <br />of Meeting" <br /> <br />Chairman Yarbrough presented the <br />1979 meeting for consideration. <br />the minutes as presented and Mr. <br />The motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Bids for Land Sales were considered. The first bid opened <br />was for the remainder of Parcel l2-2 submitted by Cole-Kohut <br />Investments of San Marcos in the amount of $1.25 per square <br />foot. A check in the amount of $1,589.94 was presented to <br />the commission as earnest money. Mr. Cruz moved to accept <br />the offer and Ms. Parks seconded. In discussion, it was <br />noted that the average sales price of the whole parcel was <br />$1,42.5 per square foot. Unanimous approval was given. <br /> <br />minutes of the July 10, <br />Ms. Parks moved to accept <br />Cruz provided the second. <br /> <br />A second bid was received on a portion of Parcel 10-1. This <br />bid was submitted by Mr. Johnny Finch for a piece of property <br />5 ft. X 160 ft. The bid submitted was for .90~ per square <br />foot. Ms. Parks moved to accept the bid and Mr. Duran <br />seconded the motion. In discussion it was noted that the <br />reason for this bid was to enlarge a previous purchase by Mr. <br />Finch of adjacent property, in order to comply with building <br />requirements. <br /> <br />In other business, Mr. Sierra presented the proposed work- <br />load of 19 families for fiscal year V and 2nd year Small <br />Cities Program. Out of the total workload approximately 10 <br />would be acquired with year V and 2nd year Small Cities Pro- <br />gram appropriations. The remaining workload is to be ac- <br />quired from excess funds accumulated from previous years. <br />Mr. Sierra Stated that it is anticipated that approximately <br />$400,000.00 will be spent in implementing this workload. <br />Ms. Parks moved to accept the workload as presented and Mr. <br />Cruz provided the second. The motion passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The commission established the value of properties owned by <br />Dora Cheatham. Parcel 34A-2 was established at $3,500.00. <br />Parcel 34A-17 was established at $4,500.00. Mr. Cruz moved <br />to accept the established values and Ms. Parks seconded. The <br />motion passed unanimously. <br />
