Swain Albert Sierra, Community Services Director OTHERS PRESENT; Mr. & Mrs. Joe Kohut Chairman Yarbrough called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Acknowledgement was made of the posting of the "Notice of Meeting" Chairman Yarbrough presented the 1979 meeting for consideration. the minutes as presented and Mr. The motion passed unanimously. Bids for Land Sales were considered. The first bid opened was for the remainder of Parcel l2-2 submitted by Cole-Kohut Investments of San Marcos in the amount of $1.25 per square foot. A check in the amount of $1,589.94 was presented to the commission as earnest money. Mr. Cruz moved to accept the offer and Ms. Parks seconded. In discussion, it was noted that the average sales price of the whole parcel was $1,42.5 per square foot. Unanimous approval was given. minutes of the July 10, Ms. Parks moved to accept Cruz provided the second. A second bid was received on a portion of Parcel 10-1. This bid was submitted by Mr. Johnny Finch for a piece of property 5 ft. X 160 ft. The bid submitted was for .90~ per square foot. Ms. Parks moved to accept the bid and Mr. Duran seconded the motion. In discussion it was noted that the reason for this bid was to enlarge a previous purchase by Mr. Finch of adjacent property, in order to comply with building requirements. In other business, Mr. Sierra presented the proposed work- load of 19 families for fiscal year V and 2nd year Small Cities Program. Out of the total workload approximately 10 would be acquired with year V and 2nd year Small Cities Pro- gram appropriations. The remaining workload is to be ac- quired from excess funds accumulated from previous years. Mr. Sierra Stated that it is anticipated that approximately $400,000.00 will be spent in implementing this workload. Ms. Parks moved to accept the workload as presented and Mr. Cruz provided the second. The motion passed unanimously. The commission established the value of properties owned by Dora Cheatham. Parcel 34A-2 was established at $3,500.00. Parcel 34A-17 was established at $4,500.00. Mr. Cruz moved to accept the established values and Ms. Parks seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
