<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />134 <br /> <br />regular meeting <br /> <br />page three <br /> <br />december 17, 1979 <br /> <br />On roll call, the fOllowing vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Hyatt, Hansen, James, Sutton, Tenorio <br /> <br />NAY: None <br /> <br />ABSTAIN: Breihan <br /> <br />The Mayor read the caption of an Ordinance as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT <br />ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION <br />AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED <br />MAY 23, 1966 (VOL. 32) BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF <br />.431 ACRES OF LAND OUT OF THE T.J. CHAMBERS <br />SURVEY, LOCATED IN THE 1200 BLOCK OF NORTH L.B.J. <br />DRIVE, FROM "R-l" (SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) <br />TO "D" (MULTI-FAMILY). <br /> <br />Mr. Sutton moved the Ordinance be approved on second reading. Mr. <br />Hyatt seconded the motion which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The Mayor read the caption of an Ordinance as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN ~~RCOS, TEXAS, CHANGING THE NAME OF THAT <br />PORTION OF THE STREET KNOWN AS "REDWOOD ROAD" <br />THAT IS LOCATED WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF <br />SAID CITY AND ORDERING THE CITY SECRETARY AND DIRECTOR <br />OF PUBLIC WORKS TO ENTER SAID CHANGE IN AND <br />UPON OFFICIAL RECORDS AND MAPS. <br /> <br />Mr. James moved the Ordinance be adopted on third and final reading. <br />Mr. Tenorio seconded the motion which passed unanimously, with Mr. <br />Breihan abstaining from the vote. <br /> <br />The Mayor read the caption of an Ordinance as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT <br />ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION <br />AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES, AND LAND, DATED <br />MAY 23, 1966 (VOL. 32) BY ZONING 5.5 ACRES OF <br />LAND OUT OF THE J. M. VERAMENDI LEAGUE NO.2, <br />LOCATED ON I.H. 35 ADJACENT TO THE UNITED CAMPGROUNDS <br />"c" (COMMERCIAL). <br /> <br />Mr. Sutton moved the Ordinance be adopted on third and final reading. <br />Mr. Tenorio seconded the motion which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The Mayor read the caption of an Ordinance as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT <br />ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION <br />AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES, AND LAND, DATED <br />MAY 23, 1966 (VOL. 32) BY ZONING LOTS 16-19 OF <br />BLOCK C, LOTS 16-36 OF BLOCK E, AND LOTS 10-18 OF <br />BLOCK F OF THE HUGHSON HEIGHTS ADDITION #2 TO <br />BE ZONED "R-l" (SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL); LOTS <br />14 AND 15 OF BLOCK C, LOTS 19-21 OF BLOCK F AND LOTS <br />1-14 OF BLOCK L OF THE HUGHSON HEIGHTS ADDITION #2 <br />TO BE ZONED "R-2" (DUPLEX); AND LOTS 26-39 OF BLOCK <br />D AND ALL OF BLOCK M OF THE HUGHSON HEIGHTS ADDITION #2 <br />TO BE ZONED "D" (MULTI-FAMILY); ALL OF THE ABOVE PROPERTY <br />DESCRIBED BY METES AND BOUNDS IN THE ATTACHED EXHIBIT. <br /> <br />Mr. Brihan moved the Ordinance be adopted on third and final reading. <br />Mr. James seconded the motion. Hr. David McCall came before the Council <br />to ask that Council Members reconsider approval of the zoning change <br />which would allow apartments to be constructed on a portion of the <br />
