<br />RECESSED REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, JUNE 13, 1973. <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />Eddy A. Worrell <br /> <br />Also present: Doriss Hambrick; Melissa Millecam; Jerri Martin; <br />Derek Aldridge <br /> <br />The Mayor called the meeting to order at 12:00 noon. <br /> <br />The Minutes of the special Meeting held June 11 were approved <br />on motion of Mr. Dibrell and second of Dr. Tauch <br /> <br />The Acting city Manager explained the process for publication <br />of notice of public hearing on the Assessment Paving Program <br />as outlined in the attached Resolution. He informed the Council <br />of the necessity of emergency passage of the Ordinance authorizing <br />the program on July 9 in order to accomplish the work before <br />winter and bad weather. Councilmen discussed the possibility of <br />holding special meetings in order to avoid an emergency clause in <br />the ordinance. However, they assented to inclusion of the <br />emergency clause since property owners in the project area were <br />to be notified that the Ordinance would be adopted July 9. <br />Councilman King moved the Resolution authorizing the City <br />Secretary to publish notice of the Public Hearing July 9, 1973, <br />be approved. Mr. Dibrell seconded the motion, which passed <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Dr. Tauch nominated George Dimmick and moved he be appointed as <br />an alternate to the Board of Equalization.
