<br />special meeting, august 20, 1973 <br /> <br />page two <br /> <br />The City Manager announced that a bid opening had been held at <br />3:00 p.m. on August 16 for purchase of four police vehicles with <br />revenue sharing funds previously allocated for that purpose. Mr. Baugh <br />said that only one bid had been received; that being from Sczutchin- <br />Cauthorn Motor Company in the amount of $15,939.36. Mr. King moved <br />to authorize the purchase of four police vehicles from Scrutchin-Cauthorn <br />for $15,939.36. Mr. Flores seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The Council agreed by common consent to cancel the September 3 workshop <br />since it was the Labor Day holiday. <br /> <br />Mr. Dibrell moved to amend the Personnel Policy to include Lyndon Johnson's I <br />birthday as a City holiday. Mr. King seconded the motion, which passed <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Flores requested the Council give consideration to amending, recinding, <br />or strictly enforcing the "Dance Hall Ordinance" which requires permit <br />fees for all public dances and the "Vacant Lot/Clean Lot Ordinance" which <br />requires that all vacant lots be mowed and clear of debris. <br /> <br />The meeting adjourned at 8:45 p.m. <br /> <br />W~~-/PJ <br /> <br />d-1ct-t () ..~ .~, # ~ <br /> <br />Eddy A.
