Jones; Jerome Cates, <br />Timothy FiSher; Diana Gonzales; Nell Saunders, <br />Melissa Millecam, Chancy Lewis <br /> <br />The Mayor called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced a resolution which the City Secretary <br />read in its entirety. The caption is as follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE INTENT TO ABANDON A <br />PORTION OF LBJ DRIVE FROM WOODS STREET TO <br />PICKARD STREET. <br /> <br />Mr. Flores moved approval of the resolution. Mr. Yarbrough <br />seconded the motion. <br /> <br />Dr. Jones asked that the last paragraph be amended to read <br />"or in any event, not later than June 1, 1975." Mr. Cates <br />added "the portion of Roanoak Street between Guadalupe and <br />LBJ Drive owned by the City". The additions being accepted <br />by the Council, the City Secretary read the amended Resolution <br />caption as follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE INTENT TO ABANDON <br />PORTION OF LBJ DRIVE FROM WOODS STREET TO PICKARD <br />STREET, AND THAT PORTION OF ROANOAK STREET BETWEEN <br />GUADALUPE STREET AND LBJ DRIVE NOW OWNED BY THE CITY. <br /> <br />On roll call, the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Cunningham, DeLa Rosa, Etheredge, Flores, King, <br />Tauch, Yarbrough <br /> <br />NAY: None <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the motion passed and the Resolution <br />approved. A copy is attached and made a part of the Minutes. <br /> <br />Councilmen were reminded of a meeting on Monday, January 29, <br />1973, at 11:30 a.m. at Carson's Restaurant to meet with the <br />Tourist Commission of the Chamber of Commerce to discuss use <br />of the hotel-motel room occupancy tax receipts for tourist <br />development. <br /> <br />The meeting adjourned at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />4uc- ;//JlpP:4 <br />~~ciano H. ~o~es <br />Mayor <br />
