<br />75 <br /> <br />~ <br />-1 SanJt1arCQs <br />I <br /> <br />POST OFFICE BOX 725/SAN MARCOS, TEXAS 78666/AC 512 392-2417 <br /> <br />February 5, 1973 <br /> <br />REPORT TO CITY COUNCIL ON CERTIFICATION OF AN <br />AMENDED PETITION DEMANDING A RECALL ELECTION <br />RECEIVED IN THE OFFICE OF THE CITY SECRETARY <br />ON FEBRUARY 1, 1973. <br /> <br />On the afternoon of February 1, 1973, an amendment to the <br />petition certified to be insufficient on January 22, 1973, <br />was filed with the City Secretary in her office by <br />Mrs. Virginia C. O'Bryan and Mr. Ellis Serur. (See Exhibit <br />"A") <br /> <br />The amended petition contained the signatures of 61 persons. <br /> <br />An examination of the petition revealed that five signatures <br />were not in ink or indelible pencil as required by the Charter, <br />four signatures were duplications of signatures on the <br />original petition, and two signers were not qualified voters <br />at the time the petition was filed.
