<br />18 <br /> <br />regular meeting, february 12, 1973 <br /> <br />page two <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced an ordinance and the City Secretary read <br />the caption as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING AND REGULATING RATES AND <br />CHARGES WHICH MAY BE COLLECTED FOR LOCAL TELEPHONE <br />SERVICE RENDERED IN THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS. <br /> <br />Dr. Tauch moved the ordinance be approved on second reading. <br />Mr. DeLa Rosa seconded the motion. Councilman Cunningham <br />stated that, since the last meeting, he had become more con- <br />fident that telephone service would improve; but that he was <br />not in favor of granting the increase until the improvement <br />was seen. On roll call, the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: <br />NAY: <br />ABSTAIN: <br /> <br />DeLa Rosa, Flores, King, Tauch, Yarbrough <br />Cunningham <br />Etheredge <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the ordinance approved on second reading. <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced an ordinance and the City Secretary read <br />the caption as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE EXTENSION OF CERTAIN <br />BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />AND THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY CONSISTING <br />OF APPROXIMATELY 632 ACRES OF LAND, WHICH SAID <br />TERRITORY LIES ADJACENT TO AND ADJOINS THE PRESENT <br />BOUNDARY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS. <br /> <br />Mr. Yarbrough moved the ordinance be approved on second reading. <br />Mr. King seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced an ordinance and the City Secretary read <br />the caption as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO GARBAGE CAN SPECIFICATIONS, I <br />CHARGES FOR GARBAGE COLLECTION FROM RESIDENCES, <br />DISPOSAL OF SMALL DEAD ANIMALS, PRIVATE COLLECTION <br />OF GARBAGE, UNLAWFUL COLLECTION AND REMOVAL OF <br />GARBAGE, CHARGES FOR DISPOSING OF REFUSE AT CITY'S <br />LANDFILL, AND CHARGES FOR SPECIAL REFUSE CONTAINER <br />SERVICE; AMENDING CHAPTER 12 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES <br />OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, ENTITLED "GARBAGE <br />AND TRASH" BY AMENDING SECTIONS 12-3, 12-7, AND 12-10 <br />THEREOF; BY DELETING SECTION 12-12 AND 12-16 THEREOF <br />AND SUBSTITUTING NEW SECTIONS UNDER THE SAME NUMBERS; <br />CREATING AN ENTIRELY NEW SECTION 12-17 "DISPOSAL CHARGES- <br />SANITARY LANDFILL"; CREATING AN ENTIRELY NEW SECTION <br />12-18 "REFUSE COLLECTION BY CITY-FROM SPECIAL CONTAINERS". <br /> <br />Dr. Tauch moved the ordinance be approved on third and final <br />reading. Mr. Etheredge seconded the motion, and on roll <br />call, the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Cunningham, DeLa Rosa, Etheredge, Flores, King, <br />Tauch, Yarbrough <br /> <br />NAY: None <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the Ordinance Passed, Approved and Adopted. <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced an amendatory ordinance which the City <br />Secretary read in its entirety. The caption is as follows: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />AN AMENDATORY ORDINANCE RELATING TO POOL HALLS; PAR- <br />TICULARLY, TO THEIR HOURS OF OPERATION,> AND REPEAL OF <br />THE PROHIBITION OF THE SALE, USE OF CONSUMPTION OF <br />ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES UPON SUCH PREMISES; AMENDING <br />ARTICLE III. OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS BY AMENDING SECT. 22-46 <br />THEREOF AND BY REPEALING SECT. 22-47 THEREOF; <br />AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />
